Finding Fiona Again
Rainbow Ivy called his patron after Fiona ran off.
Rainbow Ivy: I found her! I told you I could do it. I know it took 4 years, but I did it. Rainbow Ivy listening. Yeah, She took off before I could find out where she lived or anything else. Yeah, she is well, but looks like she might be in some trouble. "Yelling on other end of line" Rainbow Ivy winced. I don't know what the trouble is. How should I know? I barely got to hello and she ran off. Ok, Ok, I promise you I will find her again and once I do, what are your wishes? Don't worry you just have my money ready, as I will find her again and bring her to you. Should I tell her anything? "Yelling commences again over the phone". I get it, say nothing, and bring her to you. Ok instructions clear. Goodbye. Rainbow Ivy hung up wishing he didn't have to deal with this patron anymore. To say they were the most difficult patron he ever had to work for was an understatement. Well the money he was promised made the headaches worth it. He didn't know much about his patron, and preferred it that way, as the less you knew the more you could plausibly deny anything if things went south. He just wondered how he was going to find her again. Hopefully she would come to the cemetery again. Until then he would just be patient and wait each night to see what she would do.

The next night:
Rainbow Ivy showed up at the cemetery to see if Fiona showed up. He wasn't sure what he would do if she didn't, but he was confident in his abilities to find her again. He decided not being comfortable in cemeteries late at night alone, to play his guitar. His guitar was given to him at a bad period in his life by one of his patrons and he treasured it. He didn't know how to play, but his patron paid for him to learn, and it changed his life. He stopped stealing, and working as a hired gun to pursue his music. The only reason he was doing this job in pursuing Fiona was as a favor to his former patron. He asked him to find her for a friend of his. He really didn't need the money, but how could he say no to the patron who saved his life? In the past he would have had no second thoughts or qualms about hurting, killing or doing whatever was asked of him, but after meeting this Fiona he wondered why this patron wanted her. She was young and innocent, and he couldn't think of any reason why anybody would want to disrupt her life. He sighed. He hoped that she would be alright. He had to admit that he unexpectedly was charmed by her giving nature and naivety. It was so refreshing in an age where people were so easily corrupted and jaded. He didn't even think girls like Fiona existed anymore. She was an old soul in a young body. She belonged to a simpler time. It was a shame she was stuck in this one. Before he knew it morning had come and no Fiona. He knew she was skittish and so he could be patient, but time was running out. His patron wasn't going to wait indefinitely for him to deliver her to them.

2 nights later Rainbow Ivy was realizing he would have to find another way to track Fiona down. While he was trying to think of some way to find out where she lived, he realized another person was in the cemetery. It was a fairy. It was well known fairies had knowledge of many things and ways of knowing things others didn't. He couldn't believe his luck. This was like Heaven smiling down on him. He had to be careful though as fairies also were notorious for not only their playful natures, but quick tempers. Turns out though the fairy had seen him playing his guitar these past few nights and had been fascinated by the thing that made music, and so she decided to show herself. She approached him.
Pippa: Hello, I hope I am not disturbing you, but I have seen you play that magical gourd, and was wondering is it magic that makes it sing music?
Rainbow Ivy smiling: No, it is called a guitar, and these strings if you pluck them makes different sounds like so, and so. He plucked a few strings eliciting laughter and screams of delight from the fairy.
Pippa: Oh that is wonderful! Who knew yarn strings could make music? In her delight she forgot to introduce herself.
Rainbow Ivy laughing delightedly at her innocence: Oh these aren't yarn strings, these are made out of a material called nylon.
Pippa: Nigh lon? What is nigh lon?
Rainbow Ivy not wanting to be rude, but needing her services: I tell you what, if you will do me a favor... he paused realizing he didn't know her name.
Pippa blushing: Oh I am sorry for my rudeness. My name is Pippa.
Rainbow Ivy bowing: What a charming name. My name is Rainbow Ivy.
Pippa laughed: What a funny name. A dark haired man being named after something that is so colorful.
Rainbow Ivy laughing with her: It is a long story, but what I was going to say is if you will grant me a favor, I can show you how to play some music on this guitar.
Pippa delighted: Oooohhh I would love that. Ask Rainbow Ivy what you would have of me.

Rainbow Ivy lying: I met a young lady here unexpectedly the other day, and we hit it off very well. Do you believe in love at first sight? Well that is what happened to me. I was so love struck in my addled state I didn't realize till after she left, I hadn't gotten her address or phone number. Now I know you will think me stupid, but I was just so overcome by her charm and beauty I forgot all.
Pippa a fairy was a romantic at heart. She was so eager to be helpful in human love affairs and was overjoyed that she had the chance to help one along.
Pippa: So you are hoping I can lead you to this young lady of your affections right?
Rainbow Ivy: Yes exactly! Will you help me?
Pippa: Yes, because I want to see love bloom and I want to learn how to pluck nigh lon and make music. Who is this woman who has captured your heart?
Rainbow Ivy: Her name is Fiona, and she is an ogre.
Pippa frowned: Did I hear you right? An ogre? You are in love with an ogre? How can this be?
Rainbow Ivy: Believe me she is the most charming, lovely shade of green, and her eyes shine like the stars. She has bewitched me, and I have to find her. Will you help me?
Pippa convinced by his sincerity thought for a minute. She was still a little hesitant, but seeing the pleading look on his face made up her mind.
Pippa: She lives by the old woods on the edge of town in the house with many windows.
Rainbow Ivy smiled. He knew that house. He had run across it one day, and was blown away by the beauty of it. He had heard the people who lived in it were strange and unfriendly. Fiona was actually living there?
Pippa: Will you teach me now?
Rainbow Ivy laughed: First things first, I want to go find my lady love, and then I promise if you come back here tomorrow I will teach you how to play.
Pippa disappointed: Ok, tomorrow for sure? Rainbow Ivy nodded.
Pippa trilled out as she faded into the distance: I will see you tomorrow then Rainboooowwww Ivy. Byeeeeeeeeeeee...
Rainbow Ivy hated to disappoint her, but he didn't intend to be here. He was going to retrieve Fiona and bring her to his patron. The sooner this job was over the better. He was disturbed by this whole thing, and he just wanted it to be over. He would go to her house tomorrow and whatever he had to do, she would be at his patron's house by the end of the week. No matter what it took it would be so.
