She is Gone!
Shrek and Barthus had fallen into a deep sleep and were oblivious to the taking of Fiona.
P.U.S.S had upon many a night snuck up to Fiona's room and slept next to her. Tonight though Fiona wasn't here! P.U.S.S. turned around, and smelling the faint traces of fear grew alarmed. He didn't know what was wrong, but knew that Fiona was in danger! He had to do something.
He sat on the bed worried, and weighed his options. What could he do? He didn't know where Fiona was, or what kind of trouble she was in. His radar was on 5 alarm alert mode. Jumping off the bed he decides it is worth the risk to wake up Barthus and Shrek.
Walking up to the bed P.U.S.S started meowing loudly.
P.U.S.S: Wake up you big oaf! Fiona is gone! She is in danger! WAKE UP!
Shrek moved restlessly and groaned. What was up with P.U.S.S? He didn't know, but that cat was about to become violin strings if he didn't stop.
Shrek tried ignoring him, but P.U.S.S wouldn't shut up. Realizing he would have to get out of bed and murder that cat if that was what it took to stop him from interrupting his pleasant dreams of him and Fiona being married. His dream was just getting to the interesting part where they were on their honeymoon and he was leaning over her in the bed about to kiss her and he hears that cat screaming bloody murder. The cat deserved to die just for that, and this wasn't the first time this cat had woken him up out of sheer orneriness. He enjoyed tormenting and causing him trouble. Well no more. This was the last straw! That cat would be gone tomorrow! But for now he reluctantly turned over and turned back the covers.

Shrek climbed out of bed looking enviously over at Barthus still dreaming away. He waved his arms angrily at P.U.S.S. Go away you stupid cat! I have had enough! You will be sold to the violin string factory tomorrow unless you leave now and never come back in here! Now don't push your luck anymore. You woke me up just when I was about to woo hoo with my lovely Fiona. I will never forgive you for that!
P.U.S.S thinks how he wishes that he belonged to anybody other than Shrek. Even a ghost would be preferable to this man. Yet he had to warn him and make him listen to him.
Shrek standing impatiently: I said Go!
P.U.S.S: Look you schmuck, I hate you as much as you hate me, but if you would just listen to me. Fiona is in trouble. She is missing. You have to go save her!
Shrek moved toward him threateningly. With that P.U.S.S realizing Shrek wouldn't listen to him ran out of the room.
Shrek sighed. Stupid cat! He would be sorry!

Wearily Shrek climbed back into bed. He just hoped he could finish the oh so pleasant dream where he was happy for the first time in a long time. He was hit with regret thinking that he could have had happiness in real life if only Fiona wasn't so stubborn and determined to be hateful. He hoped that maybe someday his being married to Fiona would be more than a dream, but a reality. Even if it meant his having to rule Ogrid, as long as it could be with Fiona at his side he would do it. With that Shrek sighed deeply and started to snore shaking the bed.
Shrek's dreams drifted to what he would do with P.U.S.S and it seemed more satisfying than his other dream. He smiled and turned over.
P.U.S.S knew he had no choice, he had to warn Barthus since Shrek wouldn't listen. He knew he was risking his life, but he would do so for Fiona. He couldn't let anything bad happen to her. P.U.S.S walked back into the room. He was worried though as Barthus didn't wake up the last time. Could he wake Barthus up before Shrek chased him out again?
P.U.S.S walked to the edge of Barthus's bed and mewed piteously. He didn't care. He wouldn't stop or leave unless Shrek picked him up bodily and choked the life out of him. He wouldn't let Shrek intimidate him any more.
Barthus finally heard a cat meowing and slowly came to life. What was that cat doing in here meowing in the middle of the night? He sighed realizing that Shrek wasn't going to do anything about this meowing cat.
Truth be told, Shrek heard cat back in the room, and being too tired and mad decided to let Barthus handle him. He literally would kill P.U.S.S if he got up again.
Shrek irritated: Dad, shut P.U.S.S up! I tried before, but he won't listen to me.
Barthus: It is your cat, throw him out.
Shrek: Please dad, the sooner you get out of bed and make P.U.S.S leave the sooner we will get to sleep.
Barthus mumbling vowing to hurt that cat and make sure he would have to use all his nine lives up, pushed the covers back. He was going to put some fear in that cat.

P.U.S.S: About time you woke up. Listen Fiona needs your help. She is missing. I went to her bedroom and she is gone. You have to help her before it is too late. She is in danger. I could smell the fear.
Barthus continuing to hear P.U.S.S moved toward him threateningly: If you don't stop the gosh awful yowling you flea bitten mop rag, I swear I will pull your guts out through your throat, and turn you inside out. Now go and don't wake either of us up again!
P.U.S.S: But you got to listen! Fiona needs you. Please!
Barthus raised his arms and shooed him away: If you think I don't mean it, just meow one more time!
P.U.S.S lifted up his tail in a haughty manner and left. He tried. If something happened to Fiona, as bad as he felt it wasn't his fault. He tried. These ogres refused to listen.

P.U.S.S feeling very much abused, put upon and upset for Fiona walked into her room. He jumped up on the bed and curled himself into a tight ball. He wanted to help Fiona, and wasn't able to. He wanted Fiona here to comfort him, but she wasn't. He wanted to cry, but he couldn't. How he wished he was anything but a insignificant, useless creature subject to the ogre race. With that he meowed softly as if to say sorry I failed you Fiona and fell asleep feeling very much put upon and miserable.
